What do you need in order to hire a van

A valid UK or EU driving licence
It’s obvious but it’s still easy to forget. The licence needs to have been valid for at least two years and if you have an EU licence or a UK paper licence rather than a photocard you’ll need to show additional photo ID.
Proof of current UK address
This doesn’t have to match your licence, it just needs to be something official like a recent utility bill, bank statement, or a letter from HMRC. It can be physical or digital and it’s best if it’s from the last three months. If you are an EU licence holder, you’ll need to be a UK resident.

If you have a UK licence you’ll need to generate a licence check code so that we can view your driving record. You can use the gov.uk site to do this using your National Insurance number, licence number, and the postcode on your licence.
A debit or
credit card
We don’t accept cash so you’ll need to have a card ready when we call you back to confirm your booking. That’s the point where we’ll be asking for payment so it’s helpful to have your card details to hand.

Allow 27 minutes to drive to us. Take Maple Road to High Street. Follow Penge Lane and the A213 to Parish Lane. Take Kings Hall Road and Brackley Road to Southend Road/A2015. Continue on this road, then take Downham Way and B226 to Sidcup Road.
By train
Travelling on the train will take an hour. Take a Southeastern train from Penge East to Petts Wood. You can then take a train to Elmstead Woods. For the last leg of the journey, you will want to take the 314 bus from Elmstead Woods Station to Altash Gardens.
By bus
It will take 55 minutes to reach us on the bus. Take the 227 from High Street/Maple Road to High Street/Market Square. Walk to West Street to take the 314 to Fiveways.

By car
Take Maple Road and Padua Road to Croydon Road. Continue to follow A213. Turn left onto Sydenham Rd. You can then take the A232 to Epsom Road, where you’ll find us on the left-hand side. The journey should take 29 minutes.
By train
Walk to Penge West and take the Overground train to Norwood Junction. Then take the Southern train to Waddon Station. The journey will take 34 minutes.
By bus
The journey on the bus is simple and straightforward. Walk to Betts Way and take the 157 to Waddon Station. This will take around 44 minutes.

By car
Our branch is a 22-minute drive away. Take Maple Road to High St/A234 and continue following this road. Take Lawrie Park Avenue to Westwood Hill, followed by Jews Walk to Kirkdale. Proceed until you reach the South Circular Road. Take the following roads: Honor Oak Road, Brenchley Gardens, Kelvington Road, Athenlay Road, Ivydale Road, Evelina Road. Continue as this road becomes Pomeroy Street.
By train
The train journey will take 40 minutes. Walk to Penge West and take an Overground train to New Cross Gate. This is a 15-minute walk away from our branch.
By bus
Travelling on the bus will take an hour. Take the 197 from High Street/Maple Road to Peckham Bus Station. You can then take the 177 to Pomeroy Street.
