Position: Senior Automotive Mechanic

We are a small family run business, part of the Pace van hire group. With over 350 vans of our own on the road we also do private clients work at our garage workshop in Croydon. Our reputation is built on customer trust — and we’re looking for an exceptional mechanic to join our team.
The Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to the highest industry standards. From complex engine rebuilds to advanced electrical diagnostics, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional results and keeping our clients on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs on vehicles.
- Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards.
- Keep accurate job records and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience as a mechanic/technician.
- Strong diagnostic skills with modern vehicle systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
